Post Post subject: Admin's Predictions - 19th September 2009
PREM

Albion Sports 4 Vs Marsden 2
Ardsley 3 Vs Brighouse 1
Bay 2 Vs Meltham 2
Halifax Irish 1 Vs Wibsey 2
Tyersal 5 Vs Kirkburton 0

Marsden suffer only their second defeat of the season to an impressive Albion side, Ardsley record an important win against relegation favourites Brighouse Town.  Bay and Meltham share the spoils in a close fought game, while Wibsey continue their good start with victory at Irish.  Tyersal impressive return to the top flight further damages Kirkburton's.

DIV 1

Bronte 2 Vs Hunsworth 2
Heckmondwike 3 Vs Littletown 3
Hemsworth 1 Vs Dudley Hill Ran 2
Keighley Shams 0 Vs Tyersal Res 2
Steeton 1 Vs Yeadon 4

Hunsworth's 100% start ends as Bonte put up a tougher fight, while the Liversedge derby finishes at 3-3.  Dudley Hill Ran narrowly scrape through past Hemsworth.  Tyersal Res continue to make waves as they beat a poor Keighley Shams side and Steeton suffer a huge home loss to a surprisingly good Yeadon side.

DIV 2

Campion Res 6 Vs Westbrook 1
Crag Road 1 Vs Bay Ath Res 3
Golcar Res 3 Vs Morley Town 0
Kirkburton Res 1 Vs Emley 3
Rawdon 2 Vs Ardsley Res 2
Storthes Hall Res 3 Vs Steeton Res 0

Campion Res thrash Westbrook, while Bay dispose of Crag Road.  Golcar Res get their first win of the season, while Emley tame Kirkburton Res in their local derby match.  Rawdon and Ardsley share the spoils in the Leeds derby match, with Steeton Res going down 3-0 at Storthes Hall.

DIV 3

Lower Hopton Res 1 Vs Huddersfield Gay Club 3
Marsden Res 4 Vs Bronte Res 0
Ovendon Res 2 Vs Hall Green Res 3
Yeadon Res 7 Vs Heckmondwike Res 0

Huddersfield Gay Club beat Lower Hopton to keep up their good introduction to the league.  Marsden Res get their first victory of the season at Bronte's expense.  Hall Green manage to turn over Ovendon in the surprise result of the day.  And Yeadon Res look very impressive again by thrashing Heckmondwike this time round.

albion v marsden will be a good game very impressed with them both but i think albion will have just a little too much fire power.
we've played marsden twice albion and campion in recent weeks and i have to say they are all very very good, much improved from last term. really impressed with albion and campion were vgood against us particularly with pace at back on nice day.
top 5 as now in any order at final shake up, be nice to play some mid table sides to see what we are like.
typical brighouse loading side v ovenden?and starting hitting form when they are playing us or is something dreadfully wrong with ovenden, quality last year but a couple of hammerings from average sides this term.

They got same set of players?

In fairness, that Sivvy is a pretty good player.

to be fair steve fullard(sivvy) is a good player, but if you can match them physically and ur a half decent footballing side they are a average side, cant do wi the litlle egg on legs thats plays in the centre mid  (yozza) wot a cock. will be back in training in a couple of weeks and am actually looking forward to getting back in to it,,i think like last year wi the hudd teams the bradford teams this year will be strong,,albion will be there at the end of season along wi us and bay, judging from marsden start they could possibley be top 6, but all in all a stronger league than last year now hemsworth and overthorpe are in div1,, none of the teams that went up last year will go down, so my money is on kirkburton and after seeing ardsley last week againts us im going to retract that they will go down and opt for brighouse/storthes hall. p.s IW no match report from sat, and as you state in ur programme ur food is shite

embarrassing is the word, from saturday we are going to produce the food ourself at the club, we have actually applied for a liquour license so hopefully soon we can use the clubhouse to its best, we actually have to pay £20 for that rubbish.

i thought campion were very good on saturday really impressed with pace and quality of defence and forwards, the 11 on the left wing absolute pleasure to watch at this level. will look forward to seeing result in future from albion V campion, not alot in it, both great upfron as are marsden now.

We (like many to be fair) are really really struggling with injuries, operations, even community service, its unbelievable from the side we expect to have its chop and ce every week, but credit the lads didnt do bad and the score was probably correct over the 90 mins.

no complaints, we could have sneaked something in the last 10 but likewise campion could have been six up good job we had our first choice keeper in.

End of october should see everyone back and i think you will see a different proposition altogether although we are a factory mile better than last year already. we have lost but only to teams in the top 5 and taken 4 points from hall green and won at kirkburton.

we are trying to improve on and off the field

theres a long way to go, we think we can consolidate a top half finish this year, we'll see.

if campion get that side out regularly and with respect to Bay who we havent seen yet so i am going on reputation, my top 6 will be

1.Bay or Ardsley
2.Albion sports (quality forward line)
3.Campion
4.Marsden
5.Golcar
6.Lower Hopton or Meltham

what did you think peter

Bay
Campion
Meltham
Albion
Golcar
Wibsey
Marsden

Thats my prediction of the top 7 based on the results and teams I have seen this season.
I'm highly disappointed with our start to the season, losing our manager has been a heavy blow to us, with some players leaving too.  Avoiding relegation will be a good season for us this year.  The division is at it's most competitve for sometime and a bad run of results can leave you deep in the mire!!!

IW  at least ur honest on the food front, it was like leftovers from a function from the weekend b4, i thought if it wasn't for ur keeper who was probabley man of the match on sat it could have been more, all in all  we were happy with the 3-1, was a fairish result as u lads missed some sitters, was impressed wi ur lad on the wing and the ginger lad that played in the centre of mid,,,wots happend to catty?  top four will be albion bay campion golcar/marsden,, did u play IW, it would be nice to put a name to a face next time u play us, county cup campion,,,league cup golcar.

no i'm the less than attractive manager who looks like johnny vegas.
playing went years ago with the knee and the ops.

Catty isnt upto it anymore, and whilst he still maintains an active interest, he doesnt play and is getting fat.

we have better players now and waiting to come back. you are only as good as you are today, not what your reputation from 5 years ago makes you. he'll be the first to admit it
