 Post subject: Golcar V Beeston
Golcar had an impressive 4-1 win over Beeston yesterday with some cracking football played by Golcar, the referee actually said after,'so you boys in NCEL Div 1 then?', The Revolution has begun!

fair play, beating beeston at any point is a decent result,
you obviously fancy golcar to be there or there abouts?
always nice to see the county am teams coming out on top. WYL seems to be a bit of a kickers league to me, we've played aberford and rothwell from their premier and all they wanted to do was assault us. No wonder the've got the linesmen.
still good preparation.
Cant see how golcar will achieve NCEL status though with second worst changing rooms and pitch in league, lot of work to do on and off field.
you guys applied didnt you?

knaresborough got a little dirty as well but to be fair they were chasing shadows! should have been a bigger scoreline as well as a clean sheet but complaicency set in firstly we took the foot off the gas and then conceded by trying to be too clever at the back. would love to draw them away in the w.r cup as their set up is fantastic. _________________ pain is your friend it lets you know your still alive!

Same here frankster, yours truly missed from 4 yards out at 0-0! Then we missed a host of chances and at 4-0 we stepped off and they nicked one with 3 mins left. The guy upfront was the angriest man ever, first he started on Liam Rothery and then after no joy he turned his attention to me, after 5 mins of abuse and 'I will knock you out right here big man' I duly responded walkin up to him in the middle of the game and saying 'come on then you ginger prick, if your gonna do it just do it, dont talk about it you scruffy gypo, just do it!' after a chat with the ref, their gaffer hauled him off instantly! I will never learn!
Nice enough pitch but changing rooms worse than salts! Shambolic!
IW whose facilities are you on about, Not Marsdens still, they are better than people give them credit for and the pitch is lookin good this year too...Pity golcars is shite but on the bright side 1/2 the games are away!

IW is talking about Golcars changing rooms.Where has this idea come from Golcar to apply for NEC? Their pitch is council owned. Have they been promised grants ?. Heard last night your friend Mr Newiss has left Meltham and gone back to Marsden and that Marsden have got some good new players. Any new ones at Golcar ? Apart from you and Karl.

IW said that Golcar have the 2nd worst changing rooms, I asked who the worst were.
Adam 'Sarge' Wilson has signed from Burton, Benji Powis is back from Heywoods, Dave Brennan is signing from Marsden too.
Yeah the cuckoos have made 2 good signings from what i can see, Newis and a lad called Ricky from Honley, only biout 20 years old but a very very good ccentre half, formerly with Leeds United! The others arent so great, Walshy and Nobby from Golcar, Dean Walker from Honley (former cuckoo). They have also signed Chris Cornelly and Dean Johnson, both good players in their day but cant see them really being at the same level anymore, Dean will prob jack in when the weather gets cold anyway!
Other than Oller you made any new signings?

john sykes, josh wiliams, paul quinn, matt tattersley, ashley flynn, bryn green, all of which should be pushing for the first team. As well as those their are about another 10 who we've signed who are quality but young and will prob start in the 2nds.
