Meltham 5-3 Bay. Bay dominated 1st half,went 3-1 up. Meltham got 2nd goal 10 seconds before half time. 2nd half Bay looked good for 1st 15 mins,until a 35 yard strike from the impressive George D awson changed the game. a quick 4th goal knocked the stuffing out of Bay,who then tired in last 20 mins to allow Meltham a 5th goal. Pretty even game was won by the clinical finishig from the impressive Meltham forwards. Bay look tired,can they bounce back against the long ball merchants from Ovenden on Weds. Time will tell,but if there is any justice,class will pull Bay through.

Just been reading abt prem cup final last season, I was at that match, did you realise that all 3 officials were from huddersfield, I also thought that they played an impressive part in the game, playing plenty of advantage and talking to the players continually. When officials are paired up with liners it makes the game better, getting all major decisions correct and less ill discipline! No off the ball afters! The game was as you say two halves, Until meltham scored just before half time they were on there knees, but the stupid foul on the edge of the penalty area changed all that, then George took over in the second half, he was very impressive, then meltham began to beleive in themselves and sadly bay tired and ran out of ideas, meltham looked as though they could score more.
On reflection meltham just about edged it, bay were the pre match favourites, but this is football.
