Why was it odd to see last years sixth placed side and Sheffield & Hallamshire county cup winners beating a side who finished second in division 1 last year.
I have to say that I wasn't overly impressed by Albion Sports considering all the hype they have received. And if I was Steve Smith I wouldn't be too concerned if Jordan Missin refused to play for the league rep side. Granted this is the only time I can recall seeing him play, but on todays evidence he did not stand out........it was only because I was looking for him that I knew who he was. Albion have better players than him in my opinion and weren't a bad side going forward, but they are very shoddy at the back.

Agreed.... Albion have a shit hot forward pair (Admin Jordan was no10 and i thought he offered alot his 1st touch is outstanding and Parkesie is a big strong bugger who knows the game) there midfield is very strong too but there back 4 plus keeper are wank wank wank. keeper couldnt catch a cold and the back four aint got a clue! ah well 3 points and am happy. almost a full strength squad today. gotta be happy

Thanks Dave, I wouldn't have known he was number 10........what with everyone shouting Jordan everytime he got the ball. But for me, he was not all he's been cracked up to be. I know it's only one game, so there's probably more he can offer given the rave reviews, but on yesterday's performance I think our league has better to offer the representative side. I think Cliffy was the best forward on the field and would put his name forward over Jordan.

must have been an off day cause he was genuine class against us.
great result for hall green.
as it goes we were nothing short of shit at golcar, golcar werent much better. i thought marsden had poor facilities but they have superior facilities and playing surface, golcars worst in league by far, spent most of game fetching balls at bottom of hill. where would they play if applying for NCEL? they were the worst side we've played this year and beat us 2-0 which says everything about our performance.
crap

i think that you are very wrong about jordan on his day he is the best finisher in the county am's i've seen plenty of him and i tell you now he's a class act and he didnt refuse to play for rep side he had other commitments on that day so maybe 2nd chance i think!

in reply to I.W the pitch was rather hard due to the lack of rain.To say you chased the ball at the bottom of the pitch is a real joke,u refused to fetch it even at one-nil down. Most of the time it was your players incompetence to keep the ball in play that caused the problem. The pitch at Golcar is best used at the top side which u found hard 2 grasp.Granted it was a poor game, but sometimes its good to get a result when u play bad.Ardsley r one of the poorest teams i have seen in county am history. The facilities at Ardsley r nothing special, with an hallowing gale to contend with for good measure. The food is also of very poor standard, like left overs from a funeral. What have Ardsley got thats better than Golcars facilities i ask u?

brand new changing rooms and a flat pitch, that counts for a lot i think rushy im not bothered whether they do sandwiches or a full blown steak cos i go home for my tea after a few beers, oh and if your pitch is best at top side why dont you fuck bottom half off then and play on a 10 yard strip instead of 20 yard

in response to rushy, golcar pitch is crap, nothing to do with how hard or soft the pitch is, and if you calm your skin you will note i acknowledged just how bad we were.
i didnt say Golcar players were crap certainly not, but didnt play as well as for example brighouse did against us last week.
the question was regarding NCEL application, i thought golcar applied (i may be wrong). The facilities wouldnt be anywhere near, and it cant do the talented players golcar undoubtedly have justice.
as for fetching the ball, i didnt once, the subs did and after first 20mins started to get a bit fooked off.
good hospitality back at pub, although thats up a fooking massive hill as well.
