Irish and Hopton share the spoils,while Marsden get a good old fashioned ramming by league leaders Bay. Overthorpe continue to leak goals like nobodys business as Kirkburton put 6 past them. Storthes Hall get a much needed win over Campion while Wibsey beat Golcar.

Massive credit to Shammies today they were well organised and fought for everything. Local derbies are never easy and today was no different. We hit the bar and the post and missed numerous chances in 2nd half. But if Shammies played like that every week then they would be in top 3 rather than bottom 3. Over 100 people down today and record programme and shop takings just showed the interest in Keighley in this game. For first time I can remember Keighley News sent a reporter and photographer and the reporter wanted interviews after game!
If Shammies keep the side that they sent today all season they will be fine. Whilst we were down not to take the 3 points it's pleasing to see them get off the mark as for Keighley its good to have all our sides challanging.
Ref today was a young lad and failed to grasp the occasion and made far too many bookings in a game that didnt show many bad challanges. Some bookings were unwarranted and that goes for both teams.

Lost to storthes hall(lockwood) 3-2 Good game, but as it seems to be this year leeking goals for fun, 1st half dominated the first 30 then they scored on the counter twice. ht 2-0, they get a third 10 mins in with a defensive error pulled two goals back through chris graham and des hamilton. draw would have been a fair result but as weve found this year we cant afford to give two goals starts. youre centre forward no9 former ashton player? was asking dez what he had achieved in football probably not knowing who he was and all because he came on as a sub coming back from injury.. there was no bite from dez just turned away laughing. so just for the record no 9 former ashton player, semi pro, probably on 60 70 a game. he used to play at bradford city where he scored a winning goal at wembley. then kenny daglish signed him for newcastle for 1.5 million where he played in the nou camp againts barcalona in front of a crowd of 80,000 in the champions league, also played at huddersfield, notts county, tramere, and cardiff,

Yeah but Jamie (former Ashton player) also played for Radcliffe and Mossley and I bet Dez Hamilton has never played at Seel Park in front of a gathering of 18+ people!!

a bit of a match report for those who are interested, always like to see if opposition see game same as us.
game started badly from our point of view, hall green kick off shinned out of play, long throw pace on end of it and H.green penalty, no complaints duly dispatched.
we got back into game with a Hgreen o.g. good wipped in free kick and a quality headed finish into his own net by th HG no.8.
game ebbed and flowed a bit, we slightly shaded first half although quick lad upfront looked lively all game, we went ahead after 35mins
d.ward finished well and to be fair i thought we were going on to win comfortably. however not to be john moores managed to wriggle out of a couple of tackles, our keeper fumbled and an easy tap home made it 2-2 at half time.
second half i thought we were the better side as we pushed for the win, lots of corners, free kicks etc but not alot of quality, when we did make the shooting openings we fluffed our lines,
draw looked odds on until we gave a corner away last minute, been here before, 50 pence header looped over our keeper to send green home delighted and the words " i dont fooking believe it - not again" ringing around our ground.
bring on ovenden, lets see if we can do ourselves a favour.

Watched some of the Liversedge Res v Dudley Ath game, I thought Dudley Hill were bad but they are like Real Madrid compared to Athletic!

When our lads got back to the Green they said they'd stolen 3 points. Didnt deserve the win, had played very badly but a wins a win, take them anyway you can get them.

i would say thats a fair match report apart from i think we had most posession 2nd half but the final pass was alwasy poor and Wardy and Catty amongst others for yourselves were very quick on the counter attack, and for some odd reason our midfield and defence seemed to think ankle tappin people on the edge of our box is ok.....nobheads!
i honestly felt it would be yours or a draw. worst weve played this year by a country mile!

i was being diplomatic not saying you stole 3 points, and when things go your way its all good, our trouble is nothing is going our way
looking at our season
overthorpe stole a win
bay stole a point
halifax irish stole point
golcar stole a point
and you guys stole the win
however in truth we fooked up at back on every occasion
another 8 points would put us firmly in top half and thats where we should be, we need to turn this around quickly, we have only failed to score in one game and have scored twice in more than half of our games.
