It's never been 'brackenhall' in the true since ever since they knocked down the mighty Phoenix!!
I remember playing one of my first open age games there - just before your time Frankie - I was only 15 playing in goals with Charlie Bradshaw and Hanson Jerome treating me like a /kicking bag. Before the game I was always check the goal mouth for glass, dog crap etc but didn't ever think i'd find a hiperdermic needle!!! - well I did in that game - two of them!!. I had a good game for the 1st 40 mins until I saved a point blank shot in a crowded 6-yard box at which point Charlie decided it'd be fun to stamp twice on my hand - Result = 2 dislocated fingers, 2 broken fingers and a broken hand!! The swelling was immediately that bad I couldn't take my glove off - they had to cut it off in the hospital!! The first of many 'tussles' with Charlie and Hanson.

Cheers Jimmy!! You might have to censor it though - Charlie & Hanson would give him/her nightmares!!
Frankie was fortunate to be on the same side of theirs for years - I wasn't and as a result received many a broken bone or other injury from them!!! [smilie=smileybloody.gif]

finally we managed it - a 2-1 win but nearly threw it away again.
2nd week running we were missing a few, credit to the ressie lads who have stepped up again.
At half time 1-0 up and looking comfortable, again dominating the first half.
we went 2-0 up mid way through and were coasting, then we tired again and hemsworth pushed us back, pulled one back with 5 mins to go. here we go again.
then the gods smiled on us, right at the death a 50/50penalty decision for the referee and he favoured us, couldnt have complained if he gave it but we'll take it.
players returning in next couple of weeks, interesting to hear hemsworth had players missing, they had little threat but a decent bunch of guys.
a word for the gent who was breaking the hemsworth appearance record - maintained his dignity during the 30 seconds round of applause/ridicule at the start . someone said he'd made about 800 appearances, i dont think our combined team have played 800 times.
